THE BIODOME

Part One : Tend to your patch

At its simplest, this muse is an invitation to be present with your part of this eco-system.

To tend, nurture and unfurl, supported by the expansive biodome of The Collective Energies.

As I write this muse I have been reading those that came before (beautiful beautiful work my loves, thank you again and again and again).  I pretend to myself this is for inspiration but I am acknowledging now, that it is also for permission…

How far can I go? how deep? How can I be more coherent? Can I rub the edges off? Should I rough it up a bit? Should I just back out of it?

This playlist of questions loops at a low level in the background of my life a lot of the time and dishonours the deeper contribution that might be available.

What is clear is that I can not approach this muse offering from the orientation of up and out and wide, so let’s come in and back and down.

Intro to the Muse and the In, Back and Down orientation.

March’s Muse is an invitation back to the very earth from which things emerge. It is an invitation back to the fertile soil of the self.

Later in the month Ostara/Easter celebrations of fertility begin.

Let’s tend to our patch but let’s not get stuck in the mud.

Remember to come up and out as you need to.

Remember to hold yourself lovingly.

Remember to support yourself .

Let’s see what unfolds

With Love

The question to Muse upon this month is:

What needs tending to in your corner of this biodome?

What follows is intended to be a supportive guide from the side as you explore this enquiry…

WHAT’S ALREADY AT THE SURFACE?

As we emerge from our winter cocoons, warmed by the love of February’s Winters Tale and the hopeful warmth of the early spring sun, rinsed clean by the showers and blown open by some wild winds, what are we now aware of that needs tending to in our corners of this collective.

10 minute initial expression practice

Create a supportive space for yourself my love, bring your candle, blankets, sunlight, tea, water, snacks, whatever you need…

and write, draw, voice note, cook, express in some way, just for yourself, with the following questions / prompts…

What have we heard whispering in the quiet months of winter?

What did the January invitation to rebirth bring to the surface?

What did the loving cradle of February hold your attention to?

What are you aware of at the surface?

What is present for you right now?

It can be so tempting to get bogged down in our own dirt, if you feel that happening, allow your expression to be light and playful.  If you like, make up a story or a poem or a puppet show

We are not expressing for others.

This is not a productivity practice.

It’s a little scratching at the earth’s surface.

Titrate: After you are done move a little.

Try a burst if you need inspo.

Wait at least a few days before continuing with this muse. It’s not a race. Honour the pace you need to go at.

Before we go deeper
LET’S GET REVERENTIAL

A LITTLE DEEPER

A key part of my work is reminding us of the possibility that, outside the mind, we may already know.

We may already know how our body wants to be, what it’s longing for, what it needs to foreground or feel.

The following practices are intended to support you to delve a little deeper.

Please choose the one that calls to you most and if you don’t feel called, can you allow yourself to notice which you are most curious about or interested in, rather than the one you are most familiar with.

You can of course play with all three approaches but notice if this is a pattern of staying wide…

TOUCH

Turn to some actual earth

Get your hands in some real earth. Repot your plants. Hold some coal. Lay on the earth in some way.

TONE

Make some earthly noise

Offer yourself 30-60 mins to sing along to this.

The sound is Lluumm

MOVE

Move around close to the ground

If moving is your favourite jam, try the Rooted practice with Naomi.

And then: Be silent and still with the enquiry… What is present for me here and now?

And then: NAME THE THING

You can say it inside, bring it through to a whisper, then say it out loud. But Name the Thing for yourself.

If you need guided support in this space - This Heart Cave may help.

Tend to your tenderness.

Cradle yourself with compassion.

Be held in the biodome.

Titrate

Then give it some love, give it some room.

Thank it, sway with it, move with it, walk with it, breathe with it, make sound with it.

Until it’s done. Trust that you will know when it’s done.

Then ground yourself.

And blow out your candle to close.
