STILLNESS IN MOTION

Scene Three: Purpose

A testament to three different states of our journey, within the context of being still whilst moving.

We have journeyed and marvelled at how chaos brings raw and true emotions. How in recognising stillness the true rest emerges with the gift of connection.

Now we are to dive into how and when we are aware of connection, a sense of purpose emerges.

 SCENE 3: PURPOSE

Selah

The dance of being with all the feelings, of sensing the skinship with what or who we have close to our moment. The potential to reach beyond the waves of affliction and let our hearts touch, connect, live in the potential. The invitation in stillness to feel the movement. The understanding that in the movement there is stillness to be recognised.

And in this dynamic stillness in motion / motion in stillness offers us a deeper recognition:

Where chaos is acknowledged, connection comes to life. The permission to embody it, allows for deeper understandings of the meaning underneath the noises/voices, the revelation on the essence of things.

Once in this place of meaning we find a deeper rest: Selah.

Selah

From the Hebrew.

A sacred bow.

The art of contemplating.

An acknowledgement to the sacredness in this instant.

An invitation to contemplate the sacred now

In state of Selah, we go back to the beginning. To the essence of silence.

The waves of chaos, carrying us to connection, moving us to connect deeply and realise Selah.

The sacred speaks. The sound of silence emerges. In this place we are in capacity to hold ourselves and others, to lean into the situation with embodiment, and a tender curious mind.

In this creative place, we hear truth, we see the steps more clearly, we find the purpose, the aliveness, the meaning, the spirals that take us back and forth but still move us forward to touch other hearts.

In a way, it feels as if we were to start again. Yet, it is only from a different place, a sense of refreshment of what needs to be done, what words need to be said. The sense of Love awakens here. The purpose reawakens over and over again.

Now, alive. In Selah, I sense Love abides here.

Here there is love.

What is next now from this place?

Love is next.

Where shall I go now?

Into serving others with this Love found in your Selah.

What is the purpose for me then?

To Love in all dimensions of your being from your sacred place, Selah.

An understanding that in Selah, there is energy in pure potential to source from. That in Selah, we are able to stand into our luminous being, being brave, giving the value to what we do and who we are so that breaking down the drama and learning to transform the hurtful patterns is possible.

It all starts from cultivating this inner alignment, this sense of sacred restful contemplation that brings us into the real embodiment of tasting life fully, the energy of love activated, the juicy inspiration of dreams and creative flow of ideas reawakening.

The potential is unraveled:

we are able to stretch into that person that we envision becoming.

we are able to serve others,

in being of service, we find new meaning to all we do.

This is the invitation for all of us here:

To acknowledge the pause and slow down qualities of Selah as a bowing down to that greater part of us that is this creative force, and that is keen to flow. It is in this place where we see with clarity, able to integrate all pieces of chaos and sense the truth.

That in spite of the chaos and the entanglements of resistance that we fall into, underneath all the movement and affliction, there is this a deep stillness that is awaiting to be embodied.

In other words, the Selah, waiting to be awakened in us, just a breath away.

Sometimes there is an immediate shift, sometimes a tiny opening. But even that small opening can help us remember the purpose, the meta-intention that pulsates within and guides our path.

We gain perspective, we gather ourselves, we download the vision that we call for ourselves and for our journeys to unfold in response to this pulsation.

If we skip the pause, the honouring of this place of soul, we lose track of what the vision for our journeys are.

Let´s then pause with intention, let´s contemplate in Selah what our soul is singing.

Where the beauty is inviting us to go and what our muse wants us to create accordingly in our life and in our homes.

One of my favourite things in life is witnessing other people do their *thing* well and with abandoned joy. Whether it's woodworking, writing, nursing, parenting, baking bread, or whatever it's a gift to the rest of us that you love what you do and what you're good at. This is purpose. This is love serving. This is stillness in motion. Motion in stillness at its best.

Shall we remember more, shall we?

Instead of falling into the trap of wrestling with being more productive beings and rather finding Selah as our anchor. Recognising that the most productive thing we can do is to humbly embrace where we´re at. Then, going deeper and facing the beast of chaos, realising that she dwells in a field of potential where connection and silence are waiting to be embodied. Ultimately, for Love to be awaken here. A sense of purpose flourishes and takes us into our next journey. These spirals, over and over again, throughout every threshold and seasons of our life.

Underneath the chaos, the connection awaits to give birth to a sense of purpose

Shall we ponder now…

As you look at your to-do list for today, what’s the one overarching thing you’re actually trying to accomplish?

Finding purpose in what you do:

The European Stone Stacking Championships took place this past week in Dunbar, Scotland.

On this, first morning of my life,
hosannas are not enough.

I walk and walk,

up streets with Jewish names,
down streets with Arab names —

all in celebration of great poets
or killers.

Men who were both poets and killers.
May my pen draw blood and pour wine.

I walk through old monuments,
tombs of alabaster, car soot.

Slogans half hid
behind green bombs of melon,

grenades of black and purple grapes.

In the end, who will history anoint?
I forget who was Isaac, who Ishmael.

I walk and walk,
forgetting my own language, my alphabet,

the one carried by Phoenicians
from port to port —

trading letters aleph bet

that were rounded like stones
by a lapidist alif ba

and passed from mouth to mouth
until they lost all but essence a b

and continue to be worn and smoothed,
until, as jewels,

only their memory is left —

as I limp through harbours,
the bilge of refugees —

in this, last moment of the day,

when the sky burns purple
and the ocean breaks black,

when the streetlamps tremble and,
all around,

the noise of guns and worship —

Selah. Enough.

MOVE

Our second Community Class with founding member and guest facilitator : Ériq Leclercq

Eric Leclercq Community Class.png

Playful Steps

In this short class we bring lots of awareness to our feet and the process of coming into and out of balance. Seeing it as an ongoing process that we can learn from and play with. We finish with a walking meditation, and the invitation is to take the echo of that practice with you when you’re outside, maybe waiting for the bus, or walking down the street...

Aligning To The Sacred Space Of The Heart

Stay close to what is sacred and true. A beautiful meditation to remind you of the sacred and immense power of your heart. When we are processing everything through the mind we lose our connection to that infinite power. Lovely to do outside in nature with your body on the land.

What Needs To Move Through

Letting the intensity of what you feel find a pathway through.

This one finishes with a long breath practice to down regulate. Love this one.
